Congress increases funding to steel technology program

The American Iron and Steel Institute helped secure $3.7 million for a program aimed at promoting new technologies that could make the energy-intensive process of making steel greener.
The money was included as part of the $555-billion omnibus budget bill passed by Congress and signed by the President ahead of the winter recess.....
