Prices for deep-sea shipments of ferrous scrap to Turkey have surged in the past 10 days, U.S. traders said.

Turkish steel mills are said to have paid $415 to $420 a tonne for a cargo of A3 scrap from a Baltic export yard, and the same price is likely to prevail for any new orders....
