Credit crisis likely culprit in metals desk shakeups

Two investment banks have shaken up their New York base metals teams in moves that could be linked to the fallout from the credit crisis on global financial markets.

Bruce Gilbert, head of base metals in the Americas for Dresdner Kleinwort Securities LLC in New York, has left the company following a round of job cuts at the investment banking arm of Germany's Dresdner Bank AG.....
