Siemens starts up BOF converter at Russian steelmaker

Siemens Metals Technologies, Linz, Austria, replaced and started up a basic oxygen furnace converter and the off-gas treatment system for Russian steel producer Nizhny Tagil Iron & Steel Works.
The work was completed in 75 days, 15 days fewer than stipulated by the contract.....
