Emanuel "Manny" Crystal, chairman of family-owned Jackson Iron & Metal Co., Jackson, Miss., died Monday after a long illness. He was 81.
In addition to his scrap activities, Crystal was a prominent figure in community affairs, serving as president of Jackson's Beth Israel Congregation in 1967 when its synagogue was bombed by the Ku Klux Klan.....
