Plate specialist lifts PNA profile in Gulf markets

PNA Group Inc. has expanded its holdings in the Gulf Coast market with the acquisition of plate specialist Precision Flamecutting & Steel LLP.
The purchase of Precision Flamecutting, the details of which were not disclosed, raises to three the number of Houston service centers in the PNA stable, all of which are primarily involved in hot-rolled carbon steel products. The others are Delta Steel LP and Metals Supply Co.
Maurice S. Nelson Jr., PNA's president and chief executive officer, pointed out that the Precision Flamecutting acquisition "will complement our existing operations in the Houston market."....
