Southern Copper invited to bid on BHP mine

Southern Copper Corp. is interested in buying the Tintaya copper mine in southern Peru from Anglo-Australian metals giant BHP Billiton, a company spokesman said Monday.

Last week, BHP said it had started talks with companies that had expressed an interest in buying the Tintaya Mine. "I can confirm we have been invited to participate....
