Southern Copper Corp. is interested in buying the Tintaya copper mine in southern Peru from Anglo-Australian metals giant BHP Billiton, a company spokesman said Monday.Last week, BHP said it had started talks with companies that had expressed an interest in buying the Tintaya Mine.
