Able UK’s troubles no deterrent to other potential shipbreakers

The rejection that British shipbreaker Able UK Ltd. got this month from one English town hasn't discouraged other British companies from seeking a berth in the shipbreaking business.
A&P Group Ltd. has applied to start shipbreaking operations at its yard in Hebburn, northeast England. A&P has two dry-dock facilities at its yard on the River Tyne and hopes to have the necessary waste management licenses and planning permission to scrap ships there within two to three months.....
