The U.S. Defense Department obtained prices for five year-ahead scrap contracts in electronic auctions that finished Friday.
The two competitions involving aluminum scrap attained values mimicking scrapyard grades. The others, for steel and mixed metals, came through at values suggesting that much of the material might not be recyclable.....
