State Metals, exec fined for sale of military parts to China

The inclusion of unmangled missile-guidance parts in an aluminum scrap shipment loaded for China in 2004 led to fines and probation Wednesday for State Metal Industries Co., Camden, N.J., and for Michael Dorfman, a company vice president.
State Metal will have its activities supervised for three years and will pay $250,000. Dorfman received two years' probation and was fined $5,000 at the hearing in Newark, N.J. The defendants pleaded guilty in June to violating the terms....
