Prices for top copper scrap feeling downward pressure

Prices for higher grades of copper scrap have come under more downward pressure as primary metal on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange shows signs of weakness.

Brass ingot makers' No. 1 copper scrap has dipped 5 cents to $2.99 a pound in the East and 4 cents to $3.01 a pound in the Midwest, while No. 2 copper scrap has eased down 2 cents to $2.84 a pound in the East and $2.85 a pound in the Midwest.....
