Uncertainties cloud fate of offshore drilling bill

The prospects of an offshore drilling bill moving through Congress during the current lame duck session got a little dimmer this week.
Speaking on CNBC's "Squawk Box" program Wednesday, Rep. Jim Davis (D., Fla.), a member of the Energy and Commerce Committee, suggested that hearings would be needed next year for any bill to move forward.
