Copper scrap worth $150,000 stolen from can manufacturer

Thieves have taken between 20 and 25 tons of copper scrap from a Silgan Containers Corp. can manufacturing plant in California.
Stanislaus County Police said the theft occurred late Saturday or early Sunday at the container plant in Riverbank, a small town about 70 miles east of San Francisco. A company spokeswoman estimated the loss at $150,000.....
