Aluminum scrap exports hit four-month high in Sept.

U.S. exports of aluminum scrap reached their highest level in four months during September.
If the controversially high figure issued for May is disregarded, the September level of 143,938 short tons counts as a monthly record.
More than two-thirds of the material went to China. By weight, China (including Hong Kong) took 70.6 percent of U.S. aluminum scrap exports in September, up from 65.4 percent the previous month; by value, China's share was about 69 percent, up from 62 percent.....
