Teck seeks smaller targets; casts 2007 zinc predictions

Teck Cominco Ltd., Vancouver, British Columbia, expects the zinc concentrate market to be in balance by the end of 2007 following crushing deficits that have constrained refined metal production in past years.

The market also should see another year of firm zinc prices supported by strong demand, Michael Agg, Teck's vice president of refining and metal sales, told investors Thursday at Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc.'s 2nd Annual Commodities and Capital Goods Conference in New York.....
