Global Alumina extends joint venture’s talks

Global Alumina Corp. has extended to Dec. 31 from Nov. 30 the deadline for negotiating terms of the joint venture which would develop and operate the company's alumina refinery project in the Republic of Guinea.

Global is currently negotiating with BHP Billiton, Dubai Aluminium Co. Ltd. (Dubal) and Mubadala Development Co. over details about the planned refinery in Boke, Guinea, on the western coast of Africa. The participants will acquire shares in Guinea Alumina Corp. Ltd. (GAC), Global Alumina's indirect, wholly owned subsidiary....
