Metalico slashes its debt load by 37% from beginning of ’06

Metalico Inc., a recycling and lead company based in Cranford, N.J., has cut its debt load by 37 percent to $15.7 million in late November from $24.9 million at the beginning of the year.
Part of the debt reduction was the conversion to equity of some expiring two-year notes that had been used to help finance a 2004 scrapyard purchase.....
