S. Korea, India sink September lead scrap exports

U.S. exports of lead scrap retreated in September from the previous month's spike, but remained well above the monthly trend line of the past three years.
Shipments to foreign smelters and other offshore buyers dipped 36 percent to 14,761 short tons in September from 23,051 tons the previous month, according to the latest figures from the U.S. Commerce Department. But exports of 97,966 tons in the first nine months of this year remained 73.4 percent ahead of 56,507 tons in the same period last year and more....
