Germany’s Schmolz to acquire tool steel maker A. Finkl & Sons

Schmolz + Bickenbach AG, Emmenbrücke, Germany, is acquiring A. Finkl & Sons Co., a Chicago-based producer of forged tool steels, in a deal that the Swiss steelmaker said will enable it to expand in the North American special steels market.
Schmolz + Bickenbach didn't disclose the purchase price, but the U.S. company has annual sales of around $260 million. The deal is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2007.....
