Congress pressed to keep R&D tax credit

Time is running out for the research and development tax credit, which will expire Dec. 31 unless it is extended during the current lame-duck session of Congress.

With the session winding down, manufacturing associations have stepped up pressure on Congress to extend the tax credit, which is available to certain qualified research and development activities and could be used to offset employee wages and other expenditures incurred in the United States.....
