Quanex earnings rise on stronger shipments

Quanex Corp., Houston, posted net income of nearly $39.2 million during its fiscal fourth quarter, up 25.5 percent from the same period last year, on sales that rose 9.2 percent to more than $527.7 million thanks in part to solid shipments from its Macsteel and Nichols Aluminum divisions.
For the full year ended Oct. 31, net income climbed 3.2 percent to $160.2 million on sales that also increased 3.2 percent to $2.03 billion.....
