Alcan plans $9.5M upgrade at French facility

Alcan Inc., Montreal, plans to invest $9.5 million to upgrade the automotive continuous annealing and quenching line at its facility in Neuf-Brisach, France.

The investment will significantly improve the facility's aluminum strip surface and mechanical properties. "This investment is part of a continuing strategy to better align the Neuf-Brisach plant's capabilities," Christophe Villemin, president of Alcan Specialty....
