ATI to start up new APT facility at Ala. plant

Allegheny Technologies Inc. (ATI), Pittsburgh, intends to start up its new Huntsville, Ala., ammonium paratungstate (APT) production facility by the end of the year.
L. Patrick Hassey, ATI's chairman, president and chief executive officer, told analysts during Credit Suisse Group's Aerospace and Defense Conference in New York earlier this month that his company had been having issues sourcing the APT material and had decided to make its own.....
