Imports of cold-finished bar under watch

U.S. manufacturers of cold-finished steel bar are keeping a cautious eye on Chinese imports, which have surged since the middle of 2006.
According to the Cold Finished Steel Bar Institute (CFSBI), preliminary figures show that about 1,300 tons were shipped to the United States in October and 3,700 tons in November. Between July and September, U.S. imports of Chinese cold-finished bar averaged roughly 2,000 tons per month, according to the Washington-based trade group.....
