Steel buying up in Nov., but inventories said still too high

Purchasing among steel buyers showed signs of revival in November, although most buyers said inventories remain too high, according to the latest survey by the Institute for Supply Management.

For November, 18 percent of buyers said they plan to increase receipts of raw materials in the next three months, up from 6 percent or less the previous two months, and 6 percent said they intend to increase inventory levels in the next six months vs. none in a month earlier.....
