Short Century Mine shutdown has no impact on zinc market

The temporary shutdown of Zinifex Ltd.'s big lead and zinc mine in Queensland, Australia, had no impact on the zinc market, traders said Wednesday.
The production loss at the Century Mine totaled 5,600 tonnes of zinc in concentrate, down from the company's initial estimate of 8,300 tonnes because production resumed three days earlier than expected. The company put the financial loss because of the temporary closure at $20 million,....
