FreightCar America delivers 100,000th aluminum railcar

FreightCar America Inc., Chicago, said it has delivered its 100,000th aluminum railcar to a customer 20 years after the company introduced an aluminum-bodied, coal-carrying car.
The milestone car — a BethGon II coal-carrying railcar — was built at FreightCar's Danville, Ill., facility and delivered to NRG Energy Inc., Princeton, N.J. Executives noted that NRG....
