Alcan plans pot cell R&D initiative in France

Alcan Inc. is launching a research and development initiative in France that will focus on pot cell technology as part of its AP35 series aluminum smelting technology.
The Montreal-based company said Thursday the initiative is part of a target to develop a cell that is 20 percent more energy efficient and environmentally friendly through the accelerated introduction of new technologies.....
