Xstrata upbeat as talks at Altonorte continue

Negotiations between union leaders and management at Xstrata Plc's Altonorte copper smelter in Chile continue as the two sides attempt to head off industrial action planned for Monday.
A spokeswoman for the Zug, Switzerland,-based mining group said discussions were still taking place and the company remained confident that a deal could be struck. Union leaders have threatened to walk out....
