Molybdenum prices soften on meager spot sales as end of year approaches

Molybdenum prices are softening as spot sales slow to a near halt, market sources said.

Molybdenum oxide is now selling for between $24.50 and $25.50 a pound, down from $25 to $26 previously. Ferromolybdenum also has experienced some downward pressure and is now changing hands at between $26 and $27 a pound, down from $27 to $28.50.....
