Ormet expects to complete restart by April

Ormet Corp. is planning to have all six potlines at its recently restarted Hannibal, Ohio, aluminum smelter online by April.

Ormet restarted the first 35 pots last Monday and poured its first metal Tuesday. Pots are being restarted on a nearly continuous basis, according to Ken Campbell, president and chief executive officer.

"Each shift we'll add eight to ten more pots," Campbell said. "It will be April before all six potlines are running." There are 176 pots on each of the six potlines.....
