Revised Tata, CSN bids for Corus due by Jan. 30

Tata Steel Ltd., Mumbai, India, and Cia. Siderúrgica Nacional (CSN), Rio de Janeiro, have until Jan. 30 to revise their offers for Anglo-Dutch steelmaker Corus Group Plc, according to a ruling by an independent body that regulates British takeovers and mergers.
The Takeover Panel, which administers the City of London's code on takeovers and mergers, also said it might require the two companies to take part in an auction for Corus should they remain in competition shortly before the Jan. 30 deadline.....
