A land swap deal looks good on paper for the proposed startup of Minnesota Steel Industries LLC.
The Minnesota Land Exchange Board this week approved a land swap deal in which Minnesota Steel will receive 7,810 acres of partially harvested timberland near an old taconite mine in Nashwauk, Minn., from UPM Blandin Paper Co. in exchange for 6,400 acres of forest land in Itasca County.....
