Imported rebar hints at pickup with $20/T gain

U.S. steel service centers and distributors continue to work through high inventories as 2006 comes to a close, but signs are increasing that some imported steel product prices are on the way back up.
Import prices for reinforcing bar, in particular, might have hit bottom in recent weeks and are showing indications of moving up slightly, according to a survey of traders, but hot-rolled sheet prices remain more difficult to pin down.....
