Tug-of-war on steel tariffs sparks players into action

German steelmakers are gearing up to challenge the U.S. International Trade Commission's decision to maintain a 10-percent tariff on imports of corrosion-resistant steel from Germany.

Companies affected by the tariffs, like ThyssenKrupp AG and Salzgitter AG, are waiting to see how the ITC explains the decision, after which they might be prepared to launch legal proceedings, said Dieter Ameling, president of the German Steel Federation.....
