MMX to produce 4M tonnes of iron ore in 2007

New Brazilian iron ore miner MMX Mineracao e Metalicos SA expects to raise iron ore output in 2007 to nearly 4 million tonnes with the start-up of its 6.5-million-tonne-a-year Amapá Mine and full output from its 4.9-million-tonne-per-year Corumbá Mine, company investment relations officer Rodolfo Landim said Wednesday.
Some small quantities of lump ore from the company's Minas-Rio Mine might also enter the market in 2007, although this operation is set to officially start in 2009 producing mainly pellet feed, he said.....
