US bucks trend as hot band pricing gains Benchmarker

U.S. hot-rolled band prices continued to weaken even as prices in other parts of the world showed signs of strengthening, according to the latest SteelBenchmarker report.
The U.S. price for hot-rolled band stood at $584 a tonne, f.o.b. mill, as of Dec. 25, down $12 (2 percent) from $596 a tonne two weeks earlier, SteelBenchmarker said. The current price marks the 10th consecutive decline for the United States, and is down $114 (16.3 percent) from the peak $698 a tonne recorded July 24.....
