LME tin hits new high amid supply fears; other metals are rangebound

Tin prices hovered around modern highs amid supply concerns as most other metals showed little movement in light Christmas-week trading on the London Metal Exchange.

Three-month tin ended Thursday's final kerb session at $11,600 a tonne after touching $11,800 in pre-market trading, the highest level seen since 1989 when LME trading of the metal was restored following the 1985-86 tin crisis. The metal closed the previous day's final kerb at $11,550 a tonne.....
