U.S. Steel completes tender offer [UPDATE]

U.S. Steel Corp., Pittsburgh, said it completed its cash tender offer and consent solicitation for its 10 3/4 percent senior notes due Aug. 1, 2008.

The company said a total of $328 million in aggregate principal amount, or about 94 percent of the notes outstanding, were tendered and not withdrawn as of midnight Dec. 27. The company accepted for purchase....
