Metaldyne gets Ford supply pact for transmission clutch modules

Metal-based components manufacturer Metaldyne Corp., Plymouth, Mich., said it will combine expertise in metal forming, aluminum die-casting and machining and assembly in a new contract to supply transmission clutch modules for a new Ford Motor Co. transmission.
The new six-speed automatic transmission will be used in a broad range of rear-wheel-drive passenger cars, light trucks and sport utility vehicles, the first of which is currently launching production, a Metaldyne spokeswoman said.....
