Steel Technologies' quarterly income off 46.2%

Reduced demand and softer prices contributed to a 46.2-percent decline in fiscal third-quarter net income at Steel Technologies Inc. despite a 10.5-percent increase in sales compared with the same period last year.Nevertheless, net income during the nine months ended June 30 rose 79.2 percent to a record $35.5 million on sales that increased 45.6 percent to a record $797.4 million.....
