Exporters get the lead out with gusto in May

U.S. exports of lead scrap in May reached the highest monthly level since fall 2003, with Canada the main destination.
Canada took 6,076 short tons, 71 percent of the 8,554 tons exported in May, pushing its year-to-date total to 25,837 tons and accounting for nearly 80 percent of U.S. exports. Canada has been the top destination for U.S. lead scrap since November 2003, when Chinese buyers....
