US zinc scrap exports decline sharply in May

China and Hong Kong sharply trimmed their imports of zinc scrap from the United States in May, pulling down the monthly total to the lowest level since January.
U.S. exports slumped to 2,920 short tons in May, according to the latest figures from the U.S. Commerce Department, down 23.8 percent from 3,830 tons sent overseas in April and 51.2 percent behind the 5,987 tons exported in March.....
