Blaze destroys three buildings at Remacor magnesium plant

Fire has damaged Remacor Corp.'s plant in Taylor, Pa., a small town west of Pittsburgh, and is expected to affect the facility's magnesium production.
"There are several buildings remaining on the property," a spokesman for the county emergency services department said. "However, the bulk of the operation was affected."
The fire started shortly after 4 p.m. Saturday when several barrels of magnesium scrap ignited and exploded inside the front building of the plant. The flames spread to some smaller buildings in the back. In all, three buildings were destroyed.....
