German scrap processors secure price hikes

German ferrous scrap processors have secured increases of 40 to 50 euros ($50 to $62) a tonne in August settlements after almost two weeks of negotiations.
Industry members said lower prices earlier this summer drastically reduced collections by small dealers and peddlers, which, followed by a rush of buying at European docks by Turkish buyers in July, contributed to the strong price increases.....
