Schnitzer in $23.5M agreement to buy Greenleaf Auto Recyclers

Schnitzer Steel Industries Inc. has agreed to buy Greenleaf Auto Recyclers LLC, an Arlington, Texas,-based auto dismantler that operates 22 yards throughout the United States and once was the centerpiece of Ford Motor Co.'s short-lived venture into the used car parts business.
In documents filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Portland, Ore.,-based Schnitzer, a scrap processor and owner of a growing chain of auto junkyards, said its Pick-N-Pull Auto Dismantlers and PNP Commercial Acquisition LLC units had signed a purchase agreement with Tree Acquisition LP, a Delaware-based concern that owns Greenleaf.....
