Metso Minerals enlarges US arm via $16M buy of Texas Shredder

Metso Minerals has acquired Texas Shredder Inc., the San Antonio, Texas,-based provider of shredder plants to the scrap industry.
The Helsinki, Finland,-based unit of Metso Corp. said in a statement that it paid about 13 million euros ($16 million) for Texas Shredder, which will be merged with Metso's Svedala Lindemann Recycling Equipment Inc., a scrap processing equipment manufacturer based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The company's U.S. arm will be called Metso Texas Shredder Inc. and will be headquartered in San Antonio.....
