Aleris said set to buy bankrupt Remag Alloys

Aleris International Inc., Beachwood, Ohio, is set to buy bankrupt Dutch magnesium recycling company Remag Alloys BV, Delfzijl, the Netherlands, according to a source close to the company.

The Dutch business, owned by Austrian metals trader and recycler Remag Recycling GmbH, had a short and difficult existence. It collapsed in June, less than two years after it was set up by its parent company in November 2003, due....
