Boeing scrap prices off 7% in Kansas auction

Aluminum scrap prices were down an average of 7 percent compared with three months ago in the latest auction by Boeing Co.'s plants in Kansas.
The competition for fourth-quarter material occurred in mid-September but the results were posted belatedly because a strike then in effect disrupted many of Boeing's routines. Machinists at the Chicago-based aircraft manufacturer ended their four-week strike Sept. 29.....
