Court ruling spares Metaleurop from liquidation

Metaleurop SA has won its long-running legal battle to survive, paving the way for the French lead and zinc producer to emerge from court protection.
A ruling in Metaleurop's favor by the Court of Appeal in Paris ends nearly three years of legal wrangling with the receivers of its subsidiary, Metaleurop Nord, which collapsed in January 2003. Since then, Metaleurop Nord's receivers have called for the parent company to be liquidated and broken up.....
